Fall Dance Weekend 2013

September 20 to 22, 2013

A weekend of good friends, delightful dancing, merry music, and sweet song at Camp Cavell on the shores of beautiful Lake Huron near Lexington, Michigan.

Featured Staff

Contrazz. Combining the improvisational style, swing, and solos of a jazz band with a repertoire of traditional Celtic, Quebecois, and American old-time music, Contrazz is a high-energy ensemble known for its driving rhythms and hot music. This ensemble of highly skilled players includes David DiGiuseppe on accordion, Rodney Marsh on saxophone and flute, Bernie Petteway on guitar, Diane Petteway on piano, and Ed Butler on drums.

Gaye Fifer. An accomplished contra caller and waltz instructor, Gaye understands the subtleties of making contras and waltzes particularly satisfying for dancers. Did you know that she also calls techno-contra? An easy smile and delightful sense of humor are part of Gaye's relaxed, pleasant style while calling and teaching. Gaye is in demand to call contra dances throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Cathy Stephens. From Ontario, Canada, Cathy is a popular and skillful dance teacher across North America. As a professional dance instructor, choreographer, and historical dance specialist, she has conducted hundreds of dance events for historical sites, museums, festivals, and arts and educational organizations. Her ever-popular Cathy's Lounge is not to be missed!
